2017 Requirements for Association Instructors

Dear Directors and Instructors;

This past summer the administrative structure was reorganized to have an Executive Committee of the president and 4 vice-presidents to oversee the organizational and administrative responsibilities of the association. The Executive Committee with the Training Standards Department and the Instructors Committee developed new requirements and procedures for instructors of our association.

The new requirements and procedures are a result of the lessons we learned from the implementation of the now defunct Qualified Instructor Certification Program(QICP) and this past summers Teachers Training Methods 1-Camp (TTM -1 Camp).

Under the leadership and guidance of Grandmaster Yang Jun, a more comprehensive set of requirements to become an association instructor was developed.

Summarized below are the new requirements which take effect January 1, 2017. These changes will be incorporated into Chapter 4-Instructors of the Directors and Instructors Handbook is updated.

Sincerely,

Ray Tom
